Spring is here, and although nothing is in bloom yet, I am seeing more of the sun and feel it getting warmer. As I am living intentionally, it’s nice to have a bucket list for each season, so when life seems heavy and hard you can remember to focus on the moments.Β
Have a picnic in the park
Pack a lovely lunch or some snacks, grab a blanket, and find a nice tree to sit under. I’m very picky about the spot. I like to have enough shade with some spots of sunshine to stay warm. We will bring games and our books and hang out for hours.Β
Plant a herb garden for cooking
I love having planting fresh herbs to keep for cooking. You will save money and no plastic required. If you get enough sun in your kitchen you can plant a small one and keep it in your kitchen. You can also keep it on your balcony. If you have a yard, then the sky is the limit. My favorites are rosemary, sage, basil, parsley, dill, thyme, and lavender.Β
Build a birdhouse or feeder
I much prefer to make our own bird feeder than buying one. This can be a really fun creative project. This year I want to make one out of a teacup and saucer.Β Like the one found here.Β
Watch the plants bloom
It’s nice to really notice the changes around you. Watching the process of renewal is good for your mind and body, and you can really appreciate nature more.Β
Open the windows
What a breath of fresh air, literally, to open all the windows in your house. Let fresh air flow through your house and get all of that winter stuffiness out.Β
Have a garden party
I want to have a classic garden tea party in our backyard. It’s so beautiful when everything is in bloom and I think it would spark so much joy.Β
Go camping and for some hikes
