A Fall color inspired spine bookstack

I feel like I've been pretty distant on here, even though I haven't. Here are some life updates and things I'm enjoying;

- attempting to see if my neuro and rheumatologist can order some tests I need to get a diagnosis for my pain, if not - hello The Cleveland Clinic 👋

- I am inspired by the season for some thematic posts and videos and I hope I can bring the vision in my head to life.

- I now own a beautiful cricut and I will hopefully print some of my stickers and bookmarks soon. I'm going to be sending to some followers for free and include some in a couple giveaways I have planned at some point.

- I'm completing my absentee ballot today and will be dropping off tomorrow. I'm meditating an extra 10 min on a daily basis because of the anxiety I have over this election.

That's pretty much it, besides just studying.

How's life lovelies? I hope this magical season is bringing some joy to your lives and please remember to VOTE for someone that will not kill and take rights away from thousands of more people out of arrogance, pride, ignorance, and hatred aka vote for Biden/Kamala. A vote for 3rd party or a write-in is a vote for Trump. Don't do it. You are not rebelling against a system by doing so. It didn't work last election and it won't work with this one. If you don't think your vote matters or somehow do not care about the election, then just use your vote as mine and vote Biden. K? I thank you and Tom Hanks thanks you.

If you didn't already know, Once Upon a Book Club is a monthly subscription box that sends a book and packaged gifts that you open on a certain page.

They also have a YA box, if you prefer the genre more than contemporary fiction.

🍁cozy reads, films, and tv - like Gilmore Girls
🍁 bundles of blankets and soft socks
🍁all of the decor
🍁spooky vibes
🍁 forest hikes
🍁 hammock time at the park, picnics, and reading outside.
🍁 drives to see the leaves

This is my favorite season. One day we will drive up and down the East coast, staying at cozy B&B's - having tea on the wrap around porches, watching Murder She Wrote and playing cards on the rainy days and enjoying the beautiful drive. It's something that my in-laws want to do with us and I'm hoping next year will be the year. 🤞

We are so close to election day. This is probably the most important US election ever as our democracy is holding on by a thread.

It's so important that you put effort in;

✨ register to vote or confirming your registration

✨ confirm where your polling place is or apply for your mail-in ballot

✨ make sure you know your states deadline for applications and then the state deadline for your ballot to be sent or dropped off. (The state I live in only gives us 2 weeks to drop them off/send them back. This is done on purpose. Make sure you send your ballots back in time).

✨ set reminders to easily stay on track on deadlines

🤎 Research what is going to be on your ballot and where you want your vote to be. I always start my research with @ballotpedia - don't just circle in something when you are unaware what certain measures are. Mail- in ballots are so great in terms of having time to research.

We have a chance at winning , but that only happens if we fight.

ARCs. How do you feel about them and how do you review them?

I enjoy reading ARCs - I enjoy connecting with the publisher and author and giving feedback. I always give my honest opinions. I learned in college how to give a proper critique - described as a sandwich - a positive, a negative, a positive. I remain objective, and if something I feel inclined to share is subjective, I make sure to disclaim that. I think this method works well for me, as I know it can be hard to hear negative feedback, but also understand the importance it has on shaping a well crafted story and rich characters.
